Understand the relationship between Sales and Profit across different Product Categories and Regions.

• KPI Card: Total Sales
  Formula: SUM([Sales])

  X-axis: Sales
  Y-axis: Profit
  Color: Product Category
  Size: Fixed
  Tooltip: Order ID, Region
  Description: Shows each order's sales and profit to identify patterns by category and region.
• Bar Chart: Sales by Region
  Formula: SUM([Sales]) grouped by Region
  Result: East = 1100, West = 850

Interactivity

A filter for Region allows users to select East, West, or both regions. When a region is selected, the scatter plot, bar chart, and KPI cards update to show data only for that region. This helps users focus on specific areas and see how sales and profit relationships change.

Self Check

If you add a filter to select only the East region, which components update and what changes occur?

• KPI Cards update to show Total Sales = 1100 and Total Profit = 290.
• Scatter Plot shows only orders from East region.
• Bar Chart updates to show Sales only for East region.
