Why filtering focuses analysis in Tableau - Why Use It

Choose your learning style9 modes available
Introduction
Filtering helps you look at only the data you need. It removes distractions and makes your charts and tables clearer. This way, you can focus on the important parts of your data.
When you want to see sales for just one region instead of all regions.
When you need to analyze data for a specific time period, like last month.
When you want to compare performance of one product category without other categories.
When your dashboard has too much data and you want to simplify it for better understanding.
When you want to create a report that shows only data for a particular customer segment.
Steps
Step 1: Open your Tableau workbook
- Tableau Desktop main window
Your data and worksheets are visible on screen
