Dashboard Goal

See sales trends and totals by product and month to understand which products sell best over time.

Dashboard Components

• Total Sales KPI Card: Shows total sales across all months and products.
  Formula: =SUM(C2:C7)
  Result: 800
• Sales by Product Table: Summarizes total sales per product.
  Formula:
  =QUERY(A1:C7,"select B, sum(C) group by B label sum(C) 'Total Sales'",1)
  Result:
  Apples - 360
  Bananas - 440
• Line Chart: Shows sales trend over months for each product.
  Data range: A1:C7
  Chart type: Line chart
  Setup in Chart Editor: Use 'Month' as X-axis, 'Sales' as Y-axis, 'Product' as series.

Interactivity

Add a filter control for Month. When you select a month, the Total Sales KPI, Sales by Product Table, and Line Chart update to show data only for that month.

This helps focus on sales performance in a specific month.

Self Check

If you add a filter for Product = Apples, which components update?

• Total Sales KPI Card updates to show total sales for Apples only.
• Sales by Product Table updates to show only Apples with its total sales.
