Choose your learning style9 modes available
Introduction
Sometimes your chart can get lost among data or you want to show it clearly. Moving a chart to its own sheet makes it easier to view and share without distractions.
When your chart is too big to fit well next to your data.
When you want to print or present only the chart without the spreadsheet data.
When you need to share just the chart with others without giving access to the whole sheet.
When you want to organize your file by keeping charts separate from raw data.
When you want to focus on analyzing the chart without scrolling through data.
Steps
Step 1: Click
- the chart you want to move
The chart is selected and shows a blue border with handles
💡 Make sure you click on the chart area, not the cells behind it
Step 2: Click
- the three vertical dots menu (More options) on the top right corner of the chart
A menu with chart options appears
Step 3: Select
- "Move to own sheet" option in the menu
The chart moves to a new sheet named Chart1 (or Chart2, etc.) showing only the chart
Step 4: Rename
- the new chart sheet tab at the bottom
The chart sheet has a clear, descriptive name for easy identification
💡 Double-click the tab name to rename it
