Steps
Step 1: Select
- the range of cells you want to color (for example, A1:D20)
The selected cells are highlighted with a blue border
Step 2: Click
- Format menu at the top
A dropdown menu appears with formatting options
Step 3: Select
- Alternating colors option from the Format menu
A panel opens on the right side showing color options for rows
Step 4: Choose
- a preset color style or customize colors in the Alternating colors panel
The selected rows change color in alternating pattern immediately
Step 5: Click
- Done button in the Alternating colors panel
The panel closes and the alternating row colors stay applied
