Dashboard Mode - Pie charts

Dashboard Goal

Show how sales are divided among different product categories using a pie chart to easily see which category sells the most.

Dashboard Components

• KPI Card: Total Sales
  Formula: =SUM(B2:B6)
  Result: 800
• Pie Chart: Sales by Category
  Data range: A2:B6
  Description: Shows each category's share of total sales as slices of the pie.

Interactivity

Add a filter for Category to select one or more categories. When you pick categories, the pie chart updates to show only those categories, and the Total Sales KPI updates to sum sales for the selected categories.

Self Check

If you filter to show only Books and Home categories, what is the new Total Sales value? What does the pie chart show?

Answer: Total Sales = 150 + 200 = 350. The pie chart shows two slices: Books (150) and Home (200).
