Dashboard Mode - CommandManager and toolbars

Goal

Understand how the CommandManager and toolbars help users access SolidWorks commands quickly and efficiently.

Dashboard Components

• KPI Card: Total Commands Available
  Formula: Sum of Number of Commands = 10+8+6+7+9 = 40
• KPI Card: Most Used Command Overall
  Formula: Command with highest Usage Frequency = Extrude (50)
• Bar Chart: Usage Frequency by Toolbar
  Shows each toolbar on X-axis and Usage Frequency on Y-axis
• Table: Toolbar Details
  Shows Toolbar, Number of Commands, Most Used Command, Usage Frequency

Interactivity

User can select a toolbar from the Toolbar Details Table or Bar Chart. Selecting a toolbar filters the KPI cards and the other visuals to show data only for that toolbar. For example, selecting 'Sketch' updates Total Commands to 8 and Most Used Command to 'Line' with usage 40.

Self Check

If you add a filter to show only toolbars with Usage Frequency greater than 20, which components update and what do they show?

• KPI Cards update to sum commands and show most used command among filtered toolbars.
• Bar Chart updates to show only toolbars with usage above 20 (Features, Sketch, Assembly).
• Toolbar Details Table shows only those rows.
