Dashboard Mode - Chamfer feature on edges
Goal

Understand how the chamfer feature affects edge dimensions and cost in a manufacturing process.

Sample Data
Edge ID Original Length (mm) Chamfer Size (mm) Material Cost ($) Labor Time (min)
Edge 1 100 5 50 10
Edge 2 150 3 75 15
Edge 3 120 4 60 12
Edge 4 130 6 65 13
Edge 5 110 2 55 11
Dashboard Components
  • KPI Card: Total Material Cost = SUM(Material Cost) = 305
  • KPI Card: Average Chamfer Size = AVERAGE(Chamfer Size) = 4 mm
  • Bar Chart: Edge ID vs Chamfer Size (shows chamfer size per edge)
  • Table: Edges with Calculated New Length = Original Length - Chamfer Size * 1.414 (approximate chamfer length reduction)

Calculated New Length formula example for Edge 1: 100 - 5 * 1.414 = 92.93 mm

Interactivity

Filter by Chamfer Size range: Selecting a chamfer size range updates the bar chart and table to show only edges within that range. KPI cards recalculate totals and averages based on filtered data.

Self Check

If you add a filter for Chamfer Size >= 4 mm, which components update?

  • Bar chart shows only edges with chamfer size 4 mm or more.
  • Table lists only those edges with chamfer size 4 mm or more and their new lengths.
  • KPI cards recalculate total material cost and average chamfer size for filtered edges.
Key Result
Dashboard shows chamfer sizes on edges, their impact on edge length, and related costs.
