Dashboard Goal

Understand which product categories contribute most to total sales using a treemap visualization.

Dashboard Components

• KPI Card: Total Sales
  Formula: Total Sales = SUM(Sales[Sales])
  Result: 1300
• Treemap Chart: Sales by Category and Product
  Category field: Sales[Category]
  Details field: Sales[Product]
  Values field: Total Sales measure
  Shows size of each product's sales within its category

Interactivity

A slicer filter on Category allows users to select one or more categories. When a category is selected, both the KPI card and the treemap update to show sales only for the selected categories.

Self Check

If you add a filter to select only the Electronics category, what will the Total Sales KPI show? Which products will appear in the treemap?

Answer: Total Sales will show 500 (300 + 200). The treemap will display only Smartphone and Laptop with their sales sizes.
