Titles, labels, and legends help explain what your charts show. They make your dashboard easy to understand by naming charts, describing data points, and showing what colors or symbols mean.

Steps
Step 1: Select the visual you want to edit
- Report canvas
The visual is highlighted and its settings appear in the Visualizations pane
Step 2: Click the Format icon (paint roller) in the Visualizations pane

Step 3: Expand the Title section
- Format pane under Title
Title settings appear, including text box and toggle switch
Step 4: Turn the Title toggle to On and type your desired title

The title appears above the visual on the report canvas
Step 5: Expand the X-axis or Y-axis section to edit axis labels
- Format pane under X-axis or Y-axis
Axis label options appear, including font size and color
Step 6: Turn the Axis title toggle On and type the label name

Step 7: Expand the Legend section and turn the Legend toggle On

Legend appears on the visual explaining colors or symbols

Before
Visual has no title, axes have no labels, and no legend is visible. Viewers may not understand the chart.

Visual shows a clear title above it, axes have descriptive labels, and a legend explains the colors used in the chart.
