This feature helps you quickly jump to a specific frame in your Figma file. It saves time when working with many frames by letting you find and focus on the one you need without scrolling.
When your design file has many frames and you want to find one fast
When you receive feedback to update a specific frame and need to locate it quickly
When presenting a design and you want to jump directly to a frame without searching
When organizing your file and need to check or edit a particular frame
When collaborating and someone mentions a frame name you want to view immediately
Steps
Step 1: Click
- Layers panel search box at the top
The cursor appears in the search box ready for typing
Step 2: Type
- Layers panel search box
Matching frames and layers appear filtered below the search box
💡 Type part of the frame name to see results quickly
Step 3: Click
- The desired frame name in the filtered list
The canvas view jumps and zooms to the selected frame
Step 4: Alternatively, use keyboard shortcut
- Press Ctrl + P (Windows) or Cmd + P (Mac)
The Quick Actions search bar opens
Step 5: Type
- Quick Actions search bar
Matching frames appear in the dropdown list
Step 6: Select
- The desired frame from the dropdown
The canvas view jumps and zooms to the selected frame

Common Mistakes

Select the frame directly from the filtered list before clicking elsewhere
