Table styles in AutoCAD control how tables look, including fonts, borders, and cell alignment. They do not generate data or convert tables into 3D objects.
The TABLE command in AutoCAD opens a dialog where you specify the number of rows and columns for your table.
Alternating row shading helps users track rows easily, improving readability. Using all uppercase or very small fonts reduces readability, and removing gridlines can make it harder to distinguish cells.
To merge cells, you must be in table editing mode. If not, options like merge cells will be unavailable. AutoCAD does support merging cells, and tables are not locked by default.
DATA LINK in AutoCAD allows you to link Excel files so that tables update automatically when the Excel data changes. Copy-pasting or importing as images does not provide automatic updates.
