Mental Model
Strings are sequences of characters but how they are stored and handled can change a lot between languages.
Analogy: Think of strings like different types of containers: some are fixed-size boxes, some are stretchy bags, and some are linked chains of letters. Each container type affects how you add, remove, or find letters inside.
C++ string: [H][e][l][l][o][\0] Python string: immutable sequence of chars Java string: object with char array inside Each box or container holds letters differently.
