Dashboard Mode - 3D visualization for clearance check
Goal

Check if electronic components on a PCB have enough space between them to avoid electrical shorts or interference.

Sample Data: Component Positions and Sizes
ComponentX (mm)Y (mm)Z (mm)Width (mm)Height (mm)Depth (mm)
Resistor R110152311
Capacitor C114152222
IC U120103551.5
Connector J125204633
LED D112182.51.51.51.5
Dashboard Components
  • KPI Card: Minimum Clearance Distance
Formula: Calculate the smallest 3D distance between any two components edges.
    Result: 1.0 mm
  • 3D Scatter Plot: Component Positions
Shows components as boxes in 3D space using X, Y, Z and their sizes.
Color code: Red if clearance < 1.5 mm, Green otherwise.
  • Table: Clearance Distances Between Components
Lists pairs of components and their edge-to-edge distances in mm.
    Example row: R1 - C1: 1.0 mm

Interactivity

User can select a component from the clearance distance table. The 3D scatter plot highlights the selected component and its neighbors with low clearance in red. The KPI card updates if a filter is applied to show minimum clearance only for selected components.

Self Check

Add a filter to show only components with clearance less than 1.5 mm. Which components remain highlighted in the 3D scatter plot and which rows remain in the clearance distance table?

Key Result
3D visualization dashboard showing PCB component positions and minimum clearance distances to ensure safe spacing.
