Common Mistakes
Setting the band range outside the data scale
The band will not appear because it is outside the visible axis range
Choose start and end values within the axis scale to ensure the band is visible
Using a very dark color for the band
It can hide the data points behind the band making the chart hard to read
Use a light color with some transparency so data remains visible
Summary
Reference bands highlight important value ranges on your chart.
You add them by dragging Reference Band from the Analytics pane onto an axis.
Set the band range carefully within your data scale and use light colors for clarity.
